Two lunches and a rugby shirt
On Friday 18th March Specialist Precast Products were represented at two regional Concrete Society Lunches.
While Ray hosted a table at the Wales Region event at the Swalec Stadium, Martyn was at The Oval at the London and South East event in his capacity as President of the Concrete Society.
In Cardiff SPP donated a signed rugby shirt which was auctioned for the Concrete Society's chosen charity, Wooden Spoon Wales, helping to raise a fabulous sum in excess of £3,000 on the day. The rugby shirt was won by Brynmor Williams of Thomas Carroll, shown here receiving the framed shirt from Ray and Frances Donovan, the TV journalist and broadcaster, while excellent comedian Rob Woodward looks on.
Meanwhile, in London, Martyn was a guest of the London and South East Region promoting the Concrete Society to over 250 guests. Continuing the sporting theme, a signed cricket bat was auctioned and a raffle was held, again raising over £2,000 in aid of two local children's hospices.
